In the issue that hit newsstands Friday, a svelte Wilson was quoted as saying that in 2019 when she was 39, she had an appointment with a fertility doctor, who told her she’d have more success freezing her eggs if she lost weight.
“He looked me up and down and said, ‘You’d do much better if you were healthier,’” the actress told People, noting that she already felt healthy and that the “rude” remarks finally sank in after the initial shock.
“He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It’s almost like I didn’t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child’s needs that really inspired me to get healthier,” the “How to Be Single” actress said.

Staffers accused new editor Liz Vaccariello of taking a fluffy approach to weight loss and fertility without providing insight from medical experts or any scientific information with the interview. They warned that being overweight was being conflated with infertility, and said the magazine glossed over explaining Wilson’s diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age.
“Several people expressed discomfort with various angles of the Rebel story in multiple meetings,” a source close to the situation told The Post. “It was like Liz just didn’t want to hear it or didn’t care. It isn’t that there’s no validity to the idea that weight can impact fertility. But the way we presented it is not right.”
A rep for People said: “These claims are complete fabrications. This did not happen.”

“Basically we’ve just put it out there that a man declared Rebel too fat to have babies and she decided he was right. Full stop,” the source said. “Then we showed a bunch of her fat pictures in the cover story like some sort of tragic ‘before’ scenario. It’s fat-shaming and misinformation and completely unbalanced with any sort of expert medical discussion.”

On Aug. 28, 2020, Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer at the age of 43. His death shocked many, including his Marvel co-stars, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Boseman kept his illness private, so not many people knew that he even had cancer until his death.
Following the news of Boseman’s death, Coogler released a statement honoring the actor. According to Variety, Coogler said, “I spent the last year preparing, imagining, and writing words for him to say, that we weren’t destined to see. It leaves me broken knowing that I won’t be able to watch another close-up of him in the monitor again or walk up to him and ask for another take.”
After Chadwick Boseman died, Ryan Coogler and Marvel took appropriate action to revise the script for Black Panther 2. They decided not to recast the character of T’Challa, and Marvel confirmed that they would not use special effects to include Boseman in the movie. Instead, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will focus on the people of Wakanda and further explore its world.
Danai Gurira reveals that ‘Black Panther 2’ does its best to honor Chadwick Boseman
Danai Gurira, who reprises her role as Okoye in Black Panther 2, spoke with Variety on the red carpet at the Met Gala in 2022. The actor discussed how the sequel would honor her late co-star, Chadwick Boseman.
“Listen, we poured everything we had into it,” Gurira explained. “We hope that you experience that and that it resonates for everybody the way it does for us. It tells a very heart-wrenching story, and that is all I can say.”
When asked if there would be a tribute for Boseman, the actor revealed, “I think beautifully, and I’m very thankful for how our amazing director/writer handled that. And, you know, it’s all about him. For all of us, it’s all an outpouring to love and to honor him.”

Michaela Coel also appears in the sequel in an undisclosed role.
Ryan Coogler directed the film, which wrapped filming in March 2022. Coogler also co-wrote the movie with Joe Robert Cole.

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi haven’t always been sworn enemies. They started out as Padawan and Jedi Master, after all, and were brothers in arms throughout the events of the Clone Wars. But by the time we see them again in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show, their lightsabers will be clashing once more.
The series is set in the space between the duo’s epic duel in Revenge of the Sith and their fateful showdown in A New Hope – and we spoke with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to find out exactly how Anakin and Obi-Wan’s relationship is different in the Disney Plus show compared to the rest of the saga.
“Well, the big difference is that Anakin’s Vader now,” McGregor tells us. “And the last time that Obi-Wan saw him was at the end of [Episode] 3 when he leaves him in the lava field, and he leaves him for dead, really… But now of course, in our series, he’s Vader. He’s Darth Vader now. So that’s the big difference.”
Vader is in charge of the villainous Inquisitors, who have never been seen before in live-action, and who are tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi.
“Obviously the relationship between Obi-Wan and Vader is not what it used to be,” Christensen, on a separate Zoom call, explains. “And Vader has some unsettled business there, and so he’s in hot pursuit of all of the remaining Jedi, but specifically Obi-Wan. And that pursuit is very personal for him.”
The show will delve into Anakin’s dramatic transformation from Jedi hero to Vader, too. “He’s trying to reconcile his past and there’s a lot of character exploration there,” Christensen says of how his character has changed in the 10 years between Revenge of the Sith and Obi-Wan Kenobi. “There is this inherent struggle of self-identity with this character, and we get to explore that in the show. But he’s trying to bury Anakin as deep down inside as possible.”

Anakin isn’t the only one who’s changed, either. We’ll be seeing a far more broken Obi-Wan than ever before, and that was something new for McGregor to explore.
“It was to start off with him in a very different place, to take this character that we know and love from Alec Guinness’s performance in the 70s, to the work that I did through Episodes 1 to 3, this Jedi Master, and take him to a really broken place,” he says. “Where after Episode 3 ends with the Jedi’s been all but destroyed, and so you can imagine he’s lost all his friends and those that haven’t been killed are in hiding, and they can’t communicate because they would give themselves away.”
How many years have passed in real time opens up new possibilities as well. “And also, I’m almost 20 years older than I was when we did the last one, so I’m that bit nearer to Alec Guinness from the original film in age and therefore that’s a different side to somebody,” McGregor explains.
“It was really cool to do, I really enjoyed it,” he continues with a smile. “And I loved working with Deborah Chow, the director, really a lot. She’s really, really a great director and she knows this world inside out and I think knows really what the fans love about it. She understands the heart of what Star Wars is, and it was fun to work with her on this whole thing.”
But what has Obi-Wan been getting up to in the decade since he left Anakin on the fiery surface of Mustafar? The Jedi has a new mission. “Vader, we know, has sent these Inquisitors out to try and find the last Jedi and to destroy them, and they’re very much looking for Obi-Wan,” McGregor says. “And his last responsibility to that old life that he had as a Jedi is to be looking out for Luke Skywalker.”

Brad Pitt graduated high school with hopes of being a movie star
Pitt grew up in Missouri and moved to California to pursue an acting career after graduating high school in 1987. Of course, it took a few years for him to start to make an impact. But he eventually captured the public’s interest with a role in Thelma & Louise.
Over the subsequent decades, he became one of the biggest stars in the world. But Peterson recalls when he was a young actor looking for a small part for which she didn’t think he was exactly suitable.
Brad Pitt auditioned for ‘Elvira: Mistress of the Dark’
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Peterson revealed a young Pitt auditioned to be in her 1988 film, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. But she thought his looks were problematic because they would distract her from her love interest.
“He auditioned for it and I was one of the people casting it and we decided, I said that he is just so damn cute that if he was there, there is no way I would like my boyfriend,” she explained.
Though Pitt was 20 at the time of the audition, he was auditioning for the role of a minor. That was even more of a problem for the star of the film. Peterson further explained, “I would be after him and he’s playing underage so it wouldn’t be a good thing …”
However, Peterson did leave a note for Pitt on his audition card. “I did write ‘yum yum’ in the comments box. That’s the only thing that I remember,” she shared.
Of course, getting passed over for that film didn’t seem to hurt Pitt’s career too much in the long run. And it also wasn’t the last time Peterson would encounter the actor.

Peterson told ET that Pitt later moved into her neighborhood, and she would sometimes see him working out without a shirt while walking her dogs. “It was just too much first thing in the morning,” she shared. And they crossed paths yet again when the Fight Club actor bought her haunted house.
The Elvira star shared some of her experiences in the home with Marriott Bonvoy Traveler. “Footsteps above my head on the ceiling. Clouds of smoke forming into what looked like a human and then disappearing. A black shadow floating on the bottom of the pool that wouldn’t go away,” she said.
She concluded, “It would take me an hour to tell you all the things that happened there. I had found out there had been seven tragic deaths in the house. And I ended up selling it to Brad Pitt, and he loved it! [laughing] He loved the idea it was haunted.”

John Cena was squashed like a jobber at SummerSlam 2014 and Lesnar basically toyed with him throughout the match as if he was a mere enhancement talent.
One would argue that it was against Brock freaking Lesnar but Cena was squashed against by the Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. Shane Freaking McMahon lasted over 30 minutes with the Phenom two years prior but Cena did not make it past 3 minutes. Finally, the Fiend tormented and mentally broke John Cena at WrestleMania 36 and sent him packing with just one finishing move.

Contrary to popular belief, being the face of the company is hard work. Burials come with the territory and this was the same for Austin back in the Attitude Era as the top babyface is expected to win and prevail over the heel and this has been the case for decades now, a cornerstone of wrestling storytelling. Austin buried a red-hot heel in Rikishi in 2000, completely stifling his momentum but again, that was expected as there was no other way to go ahead in the storyline.

Now that John Cena is removed from the post of the franchise player, he is no longer expected to win every contest and during the twilight years of his full-time career, Cena put over a number of superstars on his way out, from Roman Reigns to Nakamura to Seth Rollins to the Fiend and Cena has yet to display any sort of bitterness or regret about his string of losses.
In fact, Cena is quite happy that the future of the company is secure, demonstrating that he truly loved the business and was not in it just for the sake of making himself look good on television. The guy wanted to turn heel way back in 2006 and wanted to put Edge over at Unforgiven 2006, but Vince McMahon vetoed the idea and Cena had to carry on with his usual shtick. He had the same idea about turning to the dark side when he feuded with the Rock but again, creative saw things differently despite Cena echoing the wishes of the fans.
His very recent return elicited a monstrous pop from the crowd and the deafening reactions continued until the very end of his comeback. The crowd now loves John Cena because, in many ways, the former public enemy No.1 of the IWC has redeemed himself and has taken his rightful place as one of the greatest to ever do it.
Simply put, Cena has shown that he is not a complete mark for himself. Add in a bit of nostalgia and a metric ton of charisma and John Cena is one of the beloved icons of professional wrestling today.

And while the actress ‘doesn’t have any fertility issues preventing her from having a baby, she is 39 now so it’s not getting any easier,’ a source confessed.
They eventually made the decision to contact an agency and use a surrogate when they found the right match, a woman in Southern California.

After the happy couple saw the opportunity of taking home their baby from the hospital as the ‘perfect Mother’s Day gift’, they now ‘just want to hold and snuggle her’ as much as possible.
Just five days earlier, on Mother’s Day, the relieved parents took to their respective Instagram pages and made the revelation about their baby spending more than three months in the NICU, along with the first photo of the family of three all snuggled together.

‘After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith,’ they noted.

‘While ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is,’ they continued.

After the happy couple saw the opportunity of taking home their baby from the hospital as the ‘perfect Mother’s Day gift’, they now ‘just want to hold and snuggle her’ as much as possible.
Just five days earlier, on Mother’s Day, the relieved parents took to their respective Instagram pages and made the revelation about their baby spending more than three months in the NICU, along with the first photo of the family of three all snuggled together.

In the lengthy message in the caption, the couple began by reflecting on the last few months that they described as being on a ‘rollercoaster’, that they know ‘so many people have also experienced.’
The former Quantico star then revealed that her baby daughter had been cleared to return home with her parents.
‘After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith,’ they noted.
The proud parents then pointed out that they had come to realize that they were just happy to be able to spend time together as a family.
‘While ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is,’ they continued.

‘We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way.’
They went on to express that their family are now ready to begin spending more time together as a family.
‘Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a bada**. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you,’ they gushed.
The duo went on to share: ‘Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you.’

Pine responded with a different idea for his cohort of Chrises, and it doesn’t seem as though he wants to fight at all.
“Shoot, man, either we do like maybe a Comic-Con–a Chrisi-Con,” he said. “Or we do like a Rat Pack show at the Sands, you know? Where we entertain and do a bit of vaudeville.”
If you’re having difficulty imagining the Chrises headlining a Las Vegas show, that may be its genius. After all, they’ve been hard at work for years, saving the world in the movies. Maybe they’re ready for something a little more lighthearted.

In 2020, producer and screenwriter Amy Berg shared pictures of four famous actors named Chris: Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine, and Chris Pratt. She posed the challenge “One has to go,” and a great debate was born.
All four men are known for appearing in superhero movies. Pine appeared in the 2017 movie Wonder Woman and made an unexpected return in the 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984. Hemsworth became a superstar playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From his 2011 debut as the Norse god, he’s owned the role.
Pratt first became famous as the bumbling Andy Dwyer in the beloved TV series Parks and Recreation. But his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy launched him into superhero stardom. Evans also played a Marvel Cinematic Universe character — the wholesome Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.

Eiza Gonzalez had a nearly impossible task when it came to the televison adaptation of From Dusk till Dawn: replace Salma Hayek as Santanico Pandemonium, the vampire mistress and the most evil woman to ever dance. Fortunately for everyone, Gonzalez was up to the task, even when it came to the cult horror movie’s iconic snake dance scene. While the original movie, directed by Robert Rodiguez, had the distinct advantage of having Danny Trejo as Razor Charlie giving Salma Hayek an unforgettable introduction, Eiza Gonzalez did about as good of a job as anyone could do to measure up. Check it out:
From Dusk till Dawn: The Series starred Eiza Gonzalez as an undead vampire dancer who runs a desert strip club with both an iron fist and a thirst for blood. In the original movie, Salma Hayek played the same role and came to her end at the hands of the Gecko Brothers, played in that version by George Clooney and frequent Robert Rodriguez collaborator Quentin Tarantino. In both the original film and the series adaption that aired on Rodriguez’s El Rey network. While the series has not been officially canceled, all indications seem to be that the show has concluded. Considering El Rey concluded all programming at the end of 2020, it is almost certainly finished, but at least we will always be able to compare Eiza Gonzalez and Salma Hayek in the role. Fortunately, someone already did it for us here.

Eiza Gonzalez starred in the series along with D. J. Cotrona as Seth Gecko (taking over for George Clooney) and Zane Holtz as Richie Gecko (the part Quentin Tarantino creepily played). The series further expanded the basic premise of “two scumbag brothers stumble across a nest of vampires with a pastor played by Harvey Keitel and his teenage children plus a guy who has a gun strapped to his crotch and have to survive the night” to include more elements of Meso-American mythology and folklore.
Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez starred in From Dusk till Dawn: The Series for 30 episodes, but has already made huge inroads into Hollywood. She most recently starred in the shockingly well-received Michael Bay film Ambulance with Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as well as 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, a movie that dared ask what would happen if Godzilla was versus King Kong. Spoiler: a lot of flames and giant axes.
Eiza Gonzalez will also star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Extrapolations, an anthology drama series about climate change with a huge cast that includes Meryl Streep, Daveed Diggs, Kit Harington, Tobery Maguire, Edward Norton, and apparently the majority of actors currently working. Eiza Gonzalez will also star in the hotly anticipated Netflix adaption of Liu Cixin’s The Three-Body Problem, which has been developed by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Renner portrays a politician who is based on one of the key figures in the FBI’s ‘Abscam’ sting operation, which is dramatized in the film, and who becomes a source of intense emotional turmoil in the plot.

Denis Villeneuve’s alien first contact thriller was a breath of fresh air for critics thanks to its tight storyline and evocative atmosphere, which was significantly less gory than 28 Weeks Later but no less gripping. Despite being nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Adapted Screenplay, Renner’s co-star Amy Adams was snubbed.
28 Weeks Later
Renner plays a soldier in the sequel to Danny Boyle’s original film 28 Days Later, who is in charge of managing the repopulation of London following the terrible effects of a successfully contained zombie epidemic in the UK. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s successor is a visceral experience with an excellent cast, and it’s a rare case of a sequel to a high-concept cult film that lives up to expectations.
Avengers: Endgame
After skipping the last Avengers film, Jeremy Renner reprised his role as Hawkeye in the MCU’s Infinity Saga’s grand finale. While it’s unclear whether Endgame will be the hero’s final appearance on the big screen, the Hawkeye Disney+ series is still on schedule for a 2021 premiere.
